Andrea Hidalgo
Art Consultant
My purpose is to be a projection of all the possibilities of art. I believe everyone should enjoy the infinite benefits that art provides to improve our existence. I am here to help all art enthusiasts, from collectors, artists, gallerists and cultural promoters to live, manage and evolve their art.
About me
After getting my bachelor's degree in Liberal Arts at Universidad Metropolitana in Venezuela, I worked for two years as an account executive at the BBVA advertising agency. In 2014 I moved to Panama to work at Articruz, the kinetic master Carlos Cruz-Diez's workshop, where I assisted him on large art and architectural projects at SCAD Museum of Art, The Broad Museum, MFAH, among others.
Working at Articruz gave me insight into art production mechanisms, material handling, format and support solutions, shipping and transportation of the pieces to their destinations, project management and advising different artists on production and logistics.
In 2018, seeking to specialize in the commercial side of art, I obtained a Postgraduate Diploma (PGDip) as Art Curator at Casa Lamm México. I also attended several seminaries such as Contemporary Art at the Sothebys Institute, "Curaduría global desde aquí" with Gerardo Mosquera, and "Approaches to contemporary art" with Isabella Villanueva.
These studies gave me an approximation to understanding the art market. They opened the doors for me to become the Business Developer of Marion Art Gallery, where I curated several exhibitions and represented their artists in Art Fairs such as Art Toronto, ArtBo, Ch.aco, ArtLima, among others.
I am here to help you be a projection of all the possibilities of art.
